Residential & Commercial Concrete

Working closely with local and provincial Canadian Home Builders' Association and BILD bodies and construction associations, as well as the Urban Development Institute Alberta chapters, Concrete Alberta provides support to the Alberta residential building industry through the efforts of our Residential and Technical Committees with respect to items of mutual interest.

Concrete Alberta also provides and supports a number of training and education programs for the trades who work in the residential and commercial building sectors as well as providing studies to address concrete field issues. Concrete Alberta member companies have many-solution based ideas for the residential and commercial building communities. If you are in need of assistance, contact our office.

To help educate the construction industry and promote the benefits of concrete structures, we’ve added a report prepared by The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. It details the benefits of building with concrete for a typical four-story apartment building and includes case studies from Canada and the United States.

Operating income for the concrete building is higher because of savings for energy costs, insurance and reduced losses to vacancy because of reduced noise, increased thermal comfort and lower rent plus utility costs.
